FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, it sometimes is negotiable. We may have made a mistake in our price calculations or lacked relevant information about your land. If you can provide further information that affects valuation, we’re happy to reconsider our offer price. We will do our best to pay you as much as possible. But for the deal to make sense for our business, we have to be very cautious about the investments we make.
If you need to get full retail value for your land, we are not your best option. To get the most possible for your land, you’ll likely need to contact a local real estate agent with extensive marketing experience.
To get top dollar, you’ll also likely have to wait for the right buyer to come along.
Land generally takes longer to sell . . . especially at a full retail price.
We use the standard industry shorthand term “cash,” but you’ll typically get paid through an attorney or closing company that will handle the paperwork for the transaction. They will pay you directly via your choice of wire transfer, check, or cashier’s check (i.e., cash equivalent) when the transaction closes.
So, although we use the term “cash,” you’ll be paid by the attorney or closing company via wire transfer, check or cash equivalent, not with physical cash.
Yes, you will be selling us your land as-is. All we ask is that you provide us any information you have about the land.
We’ll ask you a short list of questions about the land, but we understand that some owners have no knowledge about their land.
We won’t ask you to do any work to the property before the sale is completed. We understand that we’re buying it just as it is now.
Simply sign and send us back the purchase agreement by email or mail. We also can send you the agreement via email to sign electronically.
It’s a good idea to call us as well to let us know you are accepting the offer. That way we’ll know to keep an eye out for it.
If you have any questions about the offer, simply call or email us so we can discuss it.
We close as soon as the paperwork can be completed by the attorney or closing company–typically in around 14 to 30 days.
We always use a local attorney or closing/escrow company to coordinate the transaction, for your protection and ours.
Occasionally they need extra time to complete the title search. The attorneys and closing companies we work with know that we want to close as quickly as possible.
Yes, we will still buy your property even if you’ve never been to it and know next to nothing about it. In fact, it’s a fairly common situation when owners have inherited land.
We will conduct our own research on the property.
It is helpful but not necessary for you to provide additional information to us about the property.
We can take care of it all.
Yes, we are definitely interested in buying your other land properties. Please call or email us with the information, and we’ll get back to you quickly to discuss.
We’re buying as many land properties as we can in your area. If you have multiple properties you’d like to sell, let’s see if we can work out an agreement to buy all of them as a package deal.
